It is host to a group of the most prestigious game lodges and hotels in the entire world, and has produced famous artists such as Keith Alexander. Its history is exciting, colourful and well preserved.
Skilled artisans produce beautiful wooden furniture, and local shops include the Willowbrook Linen Co., The Nut Tree, various pottery workshops, and much more. Have fun at the Barnyard Theatre or catch up on a nouveau type movie at Casterbridge Farm.

Mpumalanga is the most rapidly developing area in South Africa. Excellent roads make for travelling ease. The drive from Johannesburg is an easy three and a half hours.

Nelspruit and White River are wonderful areas to tour and sightsee. There is something for everyone. Here are some of the things that you can do.
Game Viewing:
No more than half an hour away is the Numbi Gate, an entrance to the Kruger National Park. You can enter the Park for self-driven day drives or you can book any of a number of special day or evening game drives.
Alternatively, book special visitor game drives with some of the private game lodges in the area. Learn about the lion project at Lion Sands, or the cheetah project at Hoedspruit. Ask us for more information. We’d love to assist you to pursue your own special interests.
Garden Walks & Bird Watching:
You will find a great diversity of flora and birdlife in the area, which drops and rises from Highland to Lowveld. The botanical gardens at Nelspruit are lovely, and the Nels river thunders through it’s rocky boundary.
